4 stars!

Went to see a new ‘straylyun film on Wednesday night with my buddy Liz. She had free tickets, and we hadn’t really heard of the film before … but it was free.

It is called ‘Look Both Ways’ and is well worth a look (released next week). Albeit a little depressing a times, but with human experience and stories of navigating life in the midst of crapping things happening. It is set in South Australia on a hot weekend, and based around the intersecting stories of a number of people when a man is hit by a train (don’t worry, there are no super-gross scenes of that happening!). Stars William McInnes & another Aussie chick who looked vaguely familiar the whole way through the film – Justine Clarke.

Well shot.
Good soundtrack.

Destined to be studied by VCE English students probably too – a nice change from ‘My Left Foot’ and ‘Proof’.

Oh, and “What did you have for dinner that night, Trish?”
Well, we had planned a repeat of our food smuggling talents, but didn’t have time to stop for anything beforehand. Dinner = buttered popcorn and ‘Natural Confectionary Company’ jelly snakes. Whoops …
